The Key Pricing Variables
Every sticker quote is calculated from these factors:
1. Material — Vinyl vs. holographic vs. paper labels
2. Size — A 2"×2" sticker uses ~40% less material than a 3"×3"
3. Quantity — Volume pricing kicks in significantly at 250, 500, and 1,000 pcs
4. Finish — Gloss is baseline; matte and soft-touch add 5–12%
5. Die-cut complexity — More complex shapes cost slightly more
6. Shipping — The most ignored cost. A "cheap" local printer with $0 shipping may still cost more than overseas + DHL

The Alibaba Problem
On paper, Alibaba looks cheaper. In practice:
- Quality variance is high. You may get great quality on sample, mediocre on bulk.
- Communication is slow (often 12+ hour time zones, language barriers).
- Lead time is typically 2–3 weeks, not 3–5 days.
- Returns/reprints are a nightmare — you're shipping back to China.
- MOQ can be very high (5,000+ on some products).
- Customs delays — Chinese goods are subject to additional scrutiny/tariffs in some markets.

How Quantity Breaks Work
